Hiking the Colorado X: Tales and Views, Ft. Collins

Join India Wood at Odell Brewing for tales of her 1,500-mile backpack of the Colorado X, sponsored by Wildlands Restoration Volunteers. Event begins with a showing of “Diagonal”, a short documentary about her hike.

Never having tried a physical challenge by age 54, she created her own route from the SE to NW corners and NE to SW corners through the Great Plains, mountains, and plateaus. Along the way this Boulder resident learned much and gained friendships with Republicans, Baptists, herbicidal farmers, and cattle ranchers. She survived her own stupidity, a bear, and a derecho with the help of a porcupine.
